David Leven, faculty of the M.Arch and BFA Architectural Design programs at SCE, and principal of LEVENBETTS, Brooklyn, NY, has been awarded the AIANY 2024 Design Award of Merit for their redesign of the Brooklyn Public Library East Flatbush Branch.

  The East Flatbush Public Library scope includes a full renovation of the entire exterior façade and roof as well as the 8,000-square-foot interior. Empowerhouse

EMPOWERHOUSE is a community-based approach to sustainable urban development showcasing the design of two affordable solar powered homes and a neighborhood learning garden. Students from The New School and Stevens Institute of Technology came together to compete in the Department of Energy 2011 Solar Decathlon.
