WantedDesign is hosting a three-day workshop in which Parsons students work with students from other design schools in Pasadena, Paris and Mexico City to develop innovative products that address the growing population’s impact on our water supply in dense, urban areas.

Mark Bechtel, Assistant Professor of Modeling, Technology, and Product Design and Christian Schneider, Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Design, will lead teams of students from numerous design disciplines in the competition. The teams will then present their projects to a jury of design professionals on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 3:00 pm.

Parsons Interior Design students will be creating a backdrop for the competition using Homosote’s recycled fiberboard. This installation will explore the use of paper as a building material.
