We are pleased to announce a new round for the Tishman Environmental Merit Scholarship. The program funds students to travel to Alaska to undertake Summer internships with environmental organizations. Up to two students will be selected for this round.

Tishman scholars will receive a $4500 stipend to cover round-trip airfare from NYC to Anchorage, Alaska, and living expenses. Housing assistance is co-arranged with your host institution.

Prerequisites

•Strong interest in environmental protection

•Preferred sophomore or junior status

•No grades of F, Z, or Incomplete at time of application

Academic Requirements of the Program

•Pre-departure readings and meetings with faculty

•Summer internship in Alaska

To apply for the scholarship

Fill out the application form and upload required documents.

The complete application should include the following:

1. Form with all fields filled in
2. A 250 – word essay (see application form for details)
3. Resume
4. Transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
5. Letter of recommendation from one faculty member

Please submit your application by March 24.  Applicants will be notified by April 6.
