A detailed account of the 2006 design-build project comprising a laundromat-cum-information center for Hurricane Katrina victims. Sited in DeLisle, Mississippi, the project was spearheaded by client Martha Murphy who was working with ShoP Architects as part of a community rebuilding effort. ShoP functioned as the Workshop’s Architect of Record; David Lewis was the studio director, and Terry Erickson was the construction instructor and supervisor. The project was built by the 13-person student team during the summer of 2007.
