Student work from Resilient Housing Studio published in Archinect
November 10, 2013
Online architecture resource Archinect has published student work from last spring’s Dwelling and Resistance studio, led by M.Arch program director Andrew Bernheimer and Associate Professor David Leven. In this studio students addressed issues of resilience in public housing design relative to climate change and urban natural systems in a post-Hurricane Sandy New York City. It is the second in a series of six required studios in the M.Arch program at Parsons. Dwelling and Resistance yielded innovative explorations of social housing that actively engage the tensions inherent in creating affordable housing within a city that faces increasing and unpredictable environmental challenges.
