The Vera List New School Art Collection Writing Award

A unique writing competition open to all New School students in all divisions and all programs.
First place award of $400 and a second place award of $200.

In addition to prose and poetic responses, the judges will consider submissions that re-visit the notion of “the essay” through non-text based media such as film, photography, visuals, music and sound, architecture or the Web.
Winning entries featured in a celebratory and public reading, edited by a professional editor, and published in next year’s edition of the award newspaper as well as online at veralistcenter.org.

Entries must be received by Monday, February 18, 2013.
