For the second year in a row, Parsons’ MFA Lighting Design program was well represented at the Illuminating Engineering Society’s Annual Conference in August 2017. Dr. Craig Bernecker, presented a paper, The Influence of Chromaticity on Subjective Impressions in Lighted Environments, based upon research conducted within the Lighting Thesis Studio during the spring 2017 semester. Additionally, two thesis students, Paola Bernal and Valerie Qin, presented their own thesis research along with Dr. Bernecker, in the poster presentation session of the conference. Dr. Bernecker, along with co-authors from Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, also presented a poster on the Next Generation Lighting Systems project being conducted at Parsons.
