Of the 15 finalists for The Challenge Student Speaker Competition, six are recent graduates of the MFA Lighting Design program. This is an international student competition that is part of the Professional Lighting Designers Conference, to be held in Rome fall of 2015. Schools around the world were asked to nominate students to present research papers.  Finalists passed multiple rounds of peer review, and of the 15 finalists, 6 are from parsons. These students are Michael Hawkins, Jenny Werbell, Reginal Lausell, Jacinda Ross, Isabel Sanchez, and Hong Wang, all MFALD ’14. More information about the competition can be found here.
