SCE Faculty Matt Burgermaster presented recent work on practices of “remaking” at Design Inquiry’s Futurespective conference. Held at the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA, in Portland, Maine, this interdisciplinary event explored issues in design culture related to the question: what does it mean to rethink the past in the present in order to point to the future?  Matt’s presentation “Remaking Remaking” focused on a re-coding of clichéd terms of adaptive reuse to foreground architectural change as a continuous and collective processes of making and remaking.
