We are proud to announce that Junior BFA ID students Hayden Manders and Meredith Woolfolk were awarded First Prize of $6000 for outstanding student achievement in Interior Design, April 12, 2012 by The Decorators Club Education Fund,Inc. Scholarship Award.

The award was for their co-housing project from fall 2011 in Gabriela Rendon’s Design Studio 3.The project considered a range of innovative housing alternatives in the four storey brownstone, for recently homeless mothers in Brooklyn.Notably the project introduced knitting as a new skill and potential business opportunity for the women.
