Jordana Maisie Goot’s second store for Australian footwear brand Feit has just opened in the West Village. Goot (M. Arch ’15 and MFA Lighting Design ’15) wrapped the interior of the 420 square foot space with complex layers of wood, with perforated areas serving as display space for the artisanal range of Feit shoes. Her brief from Feit was to design a store that pushed the boundaries of conventional retail. In addition to the layered wood installation, Goot also created a responsive lighting program that changes according to time of day and season. The store has already been profiled by the New York Times and Dezeen. Goot’s first collaboration with Feit, a shop on Prince Street, opened last fall.
