SCE faculty member Jessica Birnbaum is one of a select group of designers and educators invited to present their work A Better World by Design, a conference sponsored by RISD and Brown University and taking place September 25 – 27 in Providence. Birnbaum – who is a practicing architect and founder of Emergent Forms – is participating in the Nature//Society: Biomimicry and Design session on Saturday, September 26.  A Better World by Design is a student-led initiative at Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design that facilitates collaboration between designers, educators, innovators, and students in an annual three-day conference. We empower attendees with tools to actively fulfill their visions of a sustainable and socially just future.
