Congratulations to Andrew Bernheimer whose studio’s project, “One Flushing,” won the Excellence in Affordable Housing Development award. One Flushing is located on the former parking lot in Downtown Flushing, Queens, and operates as an integrated intergenerational residential space with a rooftop farm, community center, and a senior center amongst its facilities. An upper roof also includes a large array of solar panels that generate clean energy for the residents.
