Web-based industrial design magazine Core77 covered the recent Designing Innovation panel discussion, moderated by BFA Product Design and MFA Industrial Design Programs Director Rama Chorpash. The four panelists were Ingrid Fetell, Design Director at IDEO; Steve Schlafman, Principal at RRE Venures; Allan Chochinov, Chair of MFA Products of Design at SVA; and Craig Metros, Exterior Design Director of the Americas at Ford Motor Company. Prompted by Chorpash, they discussed how best to strengthen customers’ relationships with brands through innovative design, the definition of a pioneer as it relates to design, and questions of accountability in design.
