Daniel Michalik included in two exhibitions at Site Unseen Offsite

BFA Product Design Program Director Daniel Michalik will exhibit two recent designs in two separate exhibits within the Sight Unseen OFFSITE show, taking place 13-16 May in the Grace Building on the 15th floor.

The Torus Candleholder is comprised of identical spun copper forms, reflected and joined to create a hollow volume. The functional result is a multi-use object: a tabletop stash box, a candle holder that allows for storage of matches or other items, or two identical candleholders if the user so chooses. The Torus is included in the “Reflect” exhibition, curated by JOIN Design.

The “Rook” stools are Michalik’s contribution to the invitational “Design Chess” event curated by the Kinder Modern Gallery.
