The New School News recently featured BFA Product Design student Daniel Martinez’s Prism Magnifier, now in production with New York City-based design company Areaware. Prism was created in the Spring 2014 studio collaboration with Areaware, led by adjunct faculty member Daniel Michalik. This partnership, called Small Things Matter, challenged 13 students to develop a low-cost gift that fit within the current Areaware accessory line and raised funds for a charitable cause.
