SCE faculty Matt Burgermaster is a winner of the 2018 New Practices New York Competition.  Sponsored by the AIA New York Chapter, this biennial award serves as the preeminent platform to recognize and promote new and innovative architecture and design firms in New York City since 2006. The juried portfolio competition honors firms that have utilized unique and innovative strategies, both in the projects they undertake and for the practices they have established.  Matt’s portfolio submission “From Leftover Waste to Transitional Objects” focused on his office’s work on alternative approaches to the adaptive reuse of discarded buildings and undervalued places that might help us re-imagine traditional notions of waste, value, and change. For more information, see the following link: https://www.aiany.org/news/announcing-winners-2018-new-practices-new-york-competition/
