BBC America recently interviewed architect and part-time faculty member Doreen Adengo about her research on Kampala. Each year, Adengo visits the Ugandan capitol with students to study the rapidly growing city, from it’s colonial heritage to its expanding population of residents from surrounding rural areas. Adengo, now based in New York, is from Kampala and has made the study of its urban development a long-term project.
