Frame #83 publishes 2011 MFA Interior Design thesis by Anne-Mette Krolmark

In her thesis Uncommon Creatures – A Retail Installation (http://sce.parsons.edu/mfaid_thesis/anne-mette.html), Krolmark explores the connection between luxury retail design and the consequences of consumption, two worlds seemingly at counterpoint with one another. The apparent conflict between a positive shopping experience and the negative result of mass-consumption, is tested through the design of a retail space for a high-end designer. The proposal promises to give the visitor an extraordinary shopping experience while also creating a space which functions as a social platform instigating change and awareness.
