Congratulations to Aashna Singh, current BFA Architectural student, on becoming one of the recipients of the 2021 Brooklyn Architects Scholarship. Every year, the Brooklyn Architects Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to deserving architectural students attending an accredited architecture program in New York City.

Aashna’s project, Community Music Works, imagines a collaborative, art-driven space for students enrolled in a free after-school music program who live predominantly in underprivileged neighborhoods. The building provides a safe haven from the exterior environment and allows one to focus inwards as well as look outwards towards the community through blurring the boundaries between the inside and outside.
