It has been proven that most New Year’s resolutions are diminished by the time it is February. If you don’t want that to happen, why not start with upgrading your home?
GRADE Architecture + Interiors is the perfect firm to help you accomplish this resolution. Founded in 2001, this New York based architecture and interior design firm has the right tools to make your home into something out of a movie setting. Under the direction and design of partners Thomas Hickey and Edward Yedid, the firm has received national recognition for creating designs that reference traditional styles mixed with the personality of the client and the surrounding environment. Some of their commercial work include Tiffany & Co. stores in various parts of Asia, and Prime KO and Vertigo in New York City.
Thomas Hickey holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Kentucky and earned his Master of Science in Advanced Architecture Design degree from Columbia University, where he was awarded the William Kinne Fellowship. He began his career by designing for Donna Karan and moved on to high end residential design while working under the renowned firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects. Edward Yedid graduated from Parsons School of Design, where he met Hickey, who was his studio professor. He quickly seized the opportunity to work with Hickey, and instantly became a dynamic duo. But it isn’t just them that has led the success of GRADE, but as well as the rest of their team.
To them, it is not in their agenda to use the same style for every project. They innovate and challenge themselves by constantly questioning the usual customs in the field architecture and interior design.
