Forging new ground in the Solar Decathlon, a team of students from Parsons The New School for Design, Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy, and Stevens Institute of Technology exhibits their work to date as they develop a solar-powered home for residents of the District of Columbia, working in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C., and the D.C. Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). The space features the layout of the house in full scale, as well as work and process from all of the departments involved, including but not limited to architecture, interior design, product design, engineering, urban policy and management, communication design, fashion, and design + technology.
