Designing spaces that shape the future requires a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Ballinger’s 2023 Scholarship for Equity program aims to enhance equity in our industry and increase the pipeline of diverse talent in the fields of architecture, engineering, and interior design.

Our program is designed to support BIPOC students at several steps in their education, from the first year of college through graduation. Read on to learn more about the program details and application deadlines.

First Year Scholarship

A $2,500 scholarship for students in their first year of college, pursuing a degree in architecture, interior design, or engineering. The award includes two Ballinger mentors and an opportunity to shadow a professional in the awardee’s discipline of interest.

Transfer Scholarship for Architecture and Interior Design Students

A $2,500 scholarship for students transferring from a community college or technical school who have been accepted into an accredited program in architecture or interior design. Recipients will receive a paid internship and two Ballinger mentors.

Final Year Scholarship for Architecture and Interior Design Students

A $5,000 scholarship for students entering their last year of an accredited program in architecture or interior design. Recipients will receive a paid internship and two Ballinger mentors.
