MFA Industrial Design and BFA Product Design programs are collaborating with the prestigious French furniture design and distribution company, Roche Bobois, in the form of design studios. Students enrolled in the studios will work in teams of two to design innovative prototypes that leverage technology while exploring cross cultural meaning and desirability. A final review with a panel of judges from Parsons and Roche Bobois will announce three monetary awards. The 1st place winner will  also receive a license agreement for production with Roche Bobois. The BFA PD section will be led by Andrea Ruggiero  who has led a number of partnered, furniture-scale studios in the past. The MFA IDD section will be led by Gyungju Chyon. Furniture, and product designer Paul Loebach will be a supporting instructor for both sections, working with all participating students.
