MFA Industrial Design and BFA Product Design programs enjoyed a strong showing at the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) International Conference, called “Design IS Business” in Atlanta from 16 – 20 August. Ariane Elefterin (MFA IDD 2017) presented her thesis research “Being in Touch” at the IDSA Education Symposium “Emergent Pedagogy in Design”, Lisa Marks (MFA IDD 2017 and former BFA PD part time faculty) presented her thesis “Parametric Knitting” as an invited Keynote speaker on the main conference stage, and Sofia Frilund (BFA PD 2017) was presented with the IDSA Student Merit Award (NE District), also on the main stage, and an exhibit of her work was on display to the attendees.
