Join the School of Constructed Environments and the School of Design Strategies as we discuss Building Product Ecosystems. BPE was initiated as a public/private partnership in 2014 by The Durst Organization in collaboration with The New School, CUNY, Vidaris, and Healthy Building Network to advance the systemic health of targeted large-scale building products [like concrete and gypsum] through transparent collaboration with Buyers, Industry, Government, and Academia.

Due to growth of the initiative, Amanda Kaminsky, formerly of Durst, is now establishing BPE as an independent, for-profit entity working on behalf of multiple Building Owners. BPE convenes necessary cross-disciplinary industry collaborators around pragmatic projects under current development to pilot holistic material improvements in manufacturing, use, and recycling, minimizing negative externalities through increasing access to transparent data in an open innovation process.
