M. Architecture Program Director Andrew Bernheimer and architect Alan Organschi will discuss the recent publication, Timber in the City, at 8 pm on June 18 at the McNally Jackson Books. Bernheimer edited the publication, which features essays from two pioneering figures in the use of mass timber in architecture, Andrew Waugh and Alan Organschi. Timber in the City explores the innovative use of mass timber technologies and the designs related to the Timber in the City Competition, which involved more than 1,000 students and emerging professionals and plays a high-profile role in current architectural education and teaching philosophies.
This event is organized by the AIANY Oculus Book Committee.
