Dual Degree (MFA LD + M.Arch) student Junrui Wang won two recent design awards. Wang received third place in the Robert Bruce Thompson Annual Student Lighting Design Fixture Competition. Competition judges singled out Wang’s bold and imaginative approach, as well as the way in which he engaged the entire ceiling plane with his design, titled Landscape Chandelier. Wang also won first place in the Per/Form Live Design Competition. His winning design proposes a large public building adjacent to the Highline Park. This building features a landscaped roof that is also perforated with skylights, creating a space that engages the interior and exterior, landscape and daylight.
