MFA Interior Design graduate Renée Burdick’s thesis project is featured in the student work highlights from issue 95 of Frame Magazine. Burdick’s project, titled Sensorium: A Tactile Respite for the People of New York City, proposes a refuge for city dwellers, and aimed to bring sensory awareness by slowing down the experience and creating moments of haptic sensation. Her design process included extensive sketching, as well as the use of model photography to explore the sensory possibilities of her project. In addition to appearing in the print edition of Frame, Burdick’s project was also included in Frame App, the magazine’s digital edition.
