David White
A Net-Zero Energy Affordable House in the Pole Barn/Storage Container Vernacular
David White will address an upstate home built to produce more energy than it uses, and to be healthier, more comfortable, more durable, and about as homely as standard construction, all for the same price. Discussion will include design process, construction document production, and lessons learned during the build, many of them painful and embarrassing. Laughter at the speaker’s expense is all but guaranteed. Drawings, photos, time-lapse movies, and material samples will be shown.
