Beginning Saturday, October 18, SCE product design alumnus Paul Poulos and former SCE lab tech Peter Choate will compete in the Hatch Live design competition, sponsored by product design incubator Hatch Hub.  Meeting each weekend at the We Work Lounge in Soho, contestants will compete against each other to design an object within a prescribed category, working with both time and material restrictions.  The winners of each round will move on to compete in the subsequent week’s competition, culminating in the final round on November 23.  Winners will receive a cash award as well as a one week residency at the Museum of Arts and Design as part of their Out of Hand exhibition.   A complete explanation and competition rules can be found on the Hive Hub website.
