Faculty member, Alfred Zollinger, along with his firm, Matter Architecture Practice, recently submitted a proposal for MoMA PS1’s Rockaway Competition. Ps1 invited artists, architects, urban planners and designers to develop solutions to the many climate change problems made evident by Hurricane Sandy last fall.

Matter explained their floating community solution through video. The story takes place in the future and is told through the eyes of an older woman thinking about the changing landscape of her home in the Rockaways.
