Senior BFA AD/ID students and graduate students from Milano’s Finance Lab, traveled to Orange Monday March 19th to meet with the HANDS organization and a number of local Orange residents. HANDS is exploring an adaptive reuse of the First Orange Presbyterian Church sanctuary and educational buildings. We toured the buildings and then sat down with residents to imagine viable uses for the existing buildings, and a vision for new urban spaces for the town. The community charette was an opportunity for students to develop their community engagement skills, in support of our project for the Skid Row Housing Trust.
