Manufacturing in Place, Husband and wife team, Robin Petravic and Catherine Bailey will talk about their purchase of Heath Ceramics in 2003, the company’s designer-maker legacy, entrepreneurialism, and their future vision of American design and making. Heath Ceramics, which has created pragmatic, enduring products from the same location for the last sixty years, not only believes in the benefits of local manufacturing, but also in keeping the making-process tangible for both the community and customers.
