On behalf of Parsons The New School for Design, and representing New York City, Anne-Mette Krolmark contributed to an international research project culminating in a publication and an exhibition titled “My Desk is My Castle”. Uta Brandes and Michael Erlhoff of Koln International School of Design initiated the collaboration with universities around the world to carry out an intercultural, gender-specific observational study on the relevance of private objects and their arrangements on office desks.

Anne-Mette documented more than two dozen desks of people from a variety of offices around New York City. Many of these are included in the new publication.
