Product Design Alumnae Secure Funding for Edible Cup on Shark Tank

Chelsea Briganti and Leigh Anne Tucker, who met at Parsons while studying Product Design, successfully presented LOLIWARE, their line of edible and disposable cups, on the television show Shark Tank. As a result of their successful pitch, Briganti and Tucker received $600,000 funding from Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban to continue to develop LOLIWARE.

LOLIWARE is made from seaweed, organic sweeteners and flavors and colors derived from fruits and vegetables. It is currently available in five flavorsThe single-use cups are designed to serve room temperature, chilled, or frozen drinks and desserts. The design emerged from a Jello competition in 2010, and is the first of many edible serving products Briganti and Tucker plan to create.
