New Practices New York 2010 is the third juried portfolio competition and exhibition in a new biennial tradition sponsored by the New Practices Committee of the AIA New York Chapter. It serves as a platform for recognizing and promoting new, innovative and emerging architecture firms within New York City that have undertaken unique and commendable strategies – both in the projects they undertake and the practices they have established.  Distinguishing this award from others given to new and young practices is the attention focused on how the winning firms’ practices have been uniquely shaped to better facilitate and exploit the type of projects that are undertaken.
