Bernheimer Architecture selected to design mixed-use project at Brooklyn Academy of Music

SCE’s M.Arch program director Andrew Bernheimer’s firm, Bernheimer Architecture, is part of the larger design and development team chosen to design an extensive mixed-use project within the BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) Cultural District.  BAM North Site II, located on Lafayette Street between Rockwell and Ashland places, is the last undeveloped property within the district, and the team, selected by the city, includes developer Jonathan Rose Companies with Dattner Architects,Bernheimer Architecture, and SCAPE Landscape Architects all working on the design.  The development will include mixed income housing, hospitality and cultural organizations  Eyebeam Art + Technology Center and Science Gallery International.  Construction on the project is expected to begin mid-2015.
