Three students from the Master in Transdisciplinary Design (MFA) were asked to act as facilitators during the Living Arts City Colloquium. Here’s the case study made by one of them, Bridget Sheerin, who tested some tools for reflection, storytelling and future storytelling.

Above are the participants of the May 4th Living Arts City: Building a Collective Narrative. This concluding “bookend” colloquium encouraged participants to offer insights gained from Season of Cambodia, and to reflect on what it means to nurture a resilient living arts city in Cambodia as well as in New York. What can we continue to do as individuals and institutions in the next 6 months, 3 years, or 10 years. How will Season of Cambodia’s partners in both the U.S. and Cambodia continue to work together?

Organized by Parsons The New School for Design in partnership with Season of Cambodia and Mark Morris Dance Group, this session took stock of lessons learned, friendships made, and looked forward to strategies for the arts as a platform for new urban futures.
