The City Beautiful Movement was first implemented to create some sort of American nationalism through constructed environments. According to the City Beautiful movement the facade and aesthetics of a building can uplift the public socially. Much like with every piece of art the artist wants to create some sort of catharsis that the viewer can feel. The Living arts cities artists try to male what is absent visible within the city. The City Beautiful Movement and the Living arts cities workshop have the same goal to create social awareness and uplift regionalism.
