Arnold and Sheila Aronson Galleries Hallway – 66 Fifth Avenue.

The exhibition runs from October 24 – October 31, 2013.

“Timber in the City” is an exhibition of the winning proposals of the 2013 ACSA Urban Habitats Competition of the same name, which challenged participants to design a mid-rise, mixed-use complex with affordable housing units, a job training/educational facility, and a center for innovative manufacturing of wood technology in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The entrants, both students and emerging professionals, were asked to design with new wood technology in innovative fashion.

The competition was co-sponsored by The School of Constructed Environments at Parsons The New School for Design, the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, and the Binational Softwood Lumber Council.
