SCE faculty member Susanne Schindler’s second article on the 1970s Bronx housing project Twin Parks – coauthored with Juliette Spertus – is now available on the Urban Omnibus, the Architectural League of New York’s online magazine dedicated to issues of urban design in its widest context.  “The Landscape of Housing: Twin Parks Northwest 40 Years On” is an expansion and development of Schindler and Spertus’s first article on the innovative high-density housing scheme, “A Few Days in the Bronx,” published in the Omnibus in 2012.  Schindler, who teaches a housing design studio to second-year architecture students at SCE, is working together with Spertus and architecture historian Mariana Mogilevich, to create the Twin Parks Archive, an online exhibit exploring both the history of the development and its significance to current urban housing issues.
