Congratulations to Parsons MFA Lighting Design alum and founder of Drummond Projects Jimmie Drummond for his collaborative work on Point of Action, a new installation at the Flatiron Public Plaza. Jimmie joined architect Nina Cooke John of Studio Cooke John to create metal “halo” spotlights that invite New Yorkers and visitors “to contemplate the experience of seeing one another — and being seen.”

“At a time when human interaction and social connection are increasingly important, our concept with the lighting was to illuminate the body in a way that inspires that individual to reflect on how they connect with the ones they see everyday”.
