The Lower 9th Ward NENA has selected Parsons the New School for Design to receive the Lower 9^th Ward NENA – Ingenious Award.

The NENA – Ingenious is given out yearly to an individual/group that has displayed an especial aptitude at discovering, displaying originality and/or resourcefulness.  This individual/group displays inventiveness in their ideas for future growth in the Lower 9 and seeks to improve it by seeking new horizons or opportunities.

The award will be received by Parsons alumna Sarah Green, on behalf of Parsons the New School for Design, at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the opening of their new building in New Orleans. This temporary location will be used until they can build the building design Parsons students helped to envision and was instrumental in designing.
