Florencia Castro Ramirez (MFA Lighting ’15), Monica Llamas Smith (MFA Lighting ’15) and Mint Kamolnadda Thumrongluck (MFA Lighting and MFA Interior Design ’15) recently won the Design with Light Student Competition in Philadelphia. Their faculty advisor was Assistant Professor Glenn Shrum.  Students were asked to propose a design for a cancer center that explored how light can transform a space, creating different moods and varied emotional depths; considered lighting strategies with regard to health; and explored the role of technologies in rendering different finishes and textures. More details on the annual competition can be found here.
